Port Vale have a striker from a Premier League side training with them today ahead of an expected loan move to Vale Park.
Darren Moore has Vale firmly in the mix to win automatic promotion back up to League One this season, but scoring goals has been an issue.
Port Vale have managed just 29 goals in their 25 league outings so far this season, a total lower than all but one of the top 13 teams in League Two.
Moore wants to address the issue and, according to the South London Press, Port Vale have Crystal Palace striker Jemiah Umolu training with them today.
Umolu is expected to link up with Port Vale on loan should everything go smoothly.
The switch would be the 19-year-old’s first loan move away from Crystal Palace, where he turns out for the Under-21s.
He has so far hit the back of the net on ten occasions for the Eagles this term.
Vale will be hoping to see Umolu hit the ground running in League Two if he does put pen to paper.
