After presenting an offer that didn’t meet América’s standards, Porto have submitted a second bid for midfielder Mateus Uribe.
According to multiple sources, Porto have upped the ante and have offered nearly €10m for the 28-year-old.
The bid comes one day after Porto brought in goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín from América for an undisclosed fee believed to be around €8m.
Thursday represents an important day, as Uribe must be added by midnight in order to be eligible to feature in Porto’s Champions League third qualifying round tie against Russia’s FC Krasnodar.
It’s also been reported that Premier League side Watford are the latest to show interest for the Colombian, who starred at this summer’s Copa America.
