Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Heung-Min Son and Destiny Udogie will miss Tottenham’s Europa League clash away to Ferencváros.

Both players have been forced off in recent games – Son against Qarabağ and Udogie against Manchester United – and neither have made the trip to Budapest as a result.

Speaking to the press ahead of the game, the Spurs boss said: “Sonny and Destiny are back in London. They’re working away, but they’re not available for this one. Everyone else from the weekend got through the game and is good to go.”

James Maddison was also on media duty, and touched on his recent return to form and his international prospects.

“I always want to prove doubters wrong and that’s where I get my hunger from. I want to do the best I can for Tottenham Hotspur.”

“I want to be in the England squad, every player does. I know Lee Carsley well. I feel really fit, maybe the fittest I’ve ever been. I had the summer off and it’s been said about Erling Haaland and how sharp he’s come back feeling, and I feel confident and alive. I can only take care of what I do at a club level.”

With Postecoglou expected to make changes for the game, Spurs youngster Mikey Moore could feature, a player whom Maddison is hugely impressed by.

“Mikey, I have to sometimes pinch myself and remember how young he is. He’s 17 and came into the group when he was 16. He’s a man already. When I watch him play, he’s very powerful and only going to get stronger as his body grows.”

Spurs will be looking to make it five wins on the bounce when his side take on the Hungarian champions on Thursday night.
