There are 18 other Premier League clubs, which of these fanbases want Newcastle United to beat Liverpool on Sunday?

The Carabao Cup Final, do fans of other clubs want Liverpool to pick up another trophy, or for Newcastle United to get their first silverware in a ‘little’ while.

How do you gauge which fanbases of the other Premier League clubs do and don’t want Newcastle to win against Liverpool?

Well, I have undertaken some pretty serious and detailed research.

This consisted of myself and my mate Big Dave sitting in our local pub, then over many pints and bags of pork scratchings, we went through all of the other 18 Premier League clubs, putting the fans of each of them in order.

Starting at the top with the fanbase we thought would most like Newcastle United to win (and/or Liverpool to lose), right down to the very bottom and the one we thought would most like to see the Scousers win (and/or the black and whites lose):

Man U (This is mainly because of their dislike of Liverpool, who they have seen as their big rivals, especially when it comes to counting trophies)

Bournemouth (The Eddie Howe factor)

Man City

West Ham (I think fair bit of affinity between our two fanbases, working class etc, not bad for cockneys!)

Chelsea

Tottenham (I think along with most of the other ‘Big Six’, more a case of an anti-Liverpool thing)

Ipswich (A Sir Bobby thing?)

Forest (I think they have almost forgiven us for 1974…and we have given them Anderson and Wood (and Sels, kind of))

Wolves

Leicester

Fulham

Brighton (See Palace below)

Southampton (Also see Palace below)

Arsenal (Eddie Howe has got Arteta’s number and they cry every time we win, just the three times so far this season)

Palace (Definitely one of the weirder fanbases in how they see Newcastle United, desperate to try and upset us with anti-NUFC ownership stuff, but in reality we care less than nothing about them)
