Coach Massimiliano Canzi and Lindsey Thomas spoke to the press after Juventus Women First Team’s 1-0 win again Fiorentina in the Women’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg.

“It was a very important match, one that we could not afford to lose: we achieved the goal of reaching the final. We are happy with the way this season is going and first of all we have to give credit to those who made quality additions to the squad, which is the first key aspect. We try to give simple and clear concepts, the group is cohesive and welcoming, and this is an important thing. It’s not time to start drawing up any kind of balance sheet, because like in a restaurant, the bill comes at the end. The final? As always it will be a different game in itself, in the meantime we are happy to be in the final, and now we reset and from tomorrow we think about the league. I hoped, however, to still be in two competitions by this stage of the season, and that is how it is.”

LINDSEY THOMAS

“I am happy with how I have adapted to this new role, after a few months I am doing well; I have learnt to defend, starting from an attacking position, I am also happy with today's match: in general, this has been a positive year. Now we're thinking about the final, which is always a special match, in which we want to put on a show: we'll prepare for the challenge as we always do, we definitely want to bring home the trophy, so we'll undoubtedly be ready for an encounter that is always a great spectacle.”
