The Fan Zone

Ross Cooper (SkyBlues Extra ): Well, here we are. The final game of the Championship season is upon us and a fixture that many Coventry fans last summer speculated could be one with big consequences on the line and well that certainly is the case.

We have had a little stumble in the last two games, two defeats against relegation threatened sides, has put us in a precarious position in regards to the fight for a Play-Off berth. Fortunately despite the reason setbacks, it is still firmly in our hands. Simple terms, we beat Boro and we secure atleast 6th position and a play-off campaign. A defeat and we can't get the playoffs, meanwhile a draw will leave every Coventry City fan with no nails left, as it will then be relying on other teams to slip up.

We need to find the home performances we showed against Sunderland and more recently West Brom and if we do that we give ourselves every chance of getting the job done. Our home form under Frank Lampard has been absolutely fantastic and another 31,000+ crowd is expected and a sea of Sky Blue will be there to roar on the boys.

We are all hoping that Milan Van Ewijk and Bobby Thomas are deemed fit, after missing recent games and if they are, then I think that could be the factor that tips the scales in our favour on Saturday.

There is enormous pressure on Lampard to make a change in goal, with Brad Collins coming under fire once again after another costly mistake against Luton and there is a genuine fear that another mistake could be the final nail in the coffin of our playoff hopes. It is a huge call for Lampard and whatever he chooses, by hook or by crook, it needs to result in the Sky BLues finishing in the top 6 come 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
