Middlesbrough and Leeds United go head-to-head at Riverside Stadium this Tuesday in the EFL Championship. The match will be broadcast live at 20:00 on Sky Sports Football.
Middlesbrough currently have 60 points and lie in 5th position. Last time out, Michael Carrick's team triumphed 0-2 against Blackburn Rovers (EFL Championship 2024/2025).
Leeds, meanwhile, have 82 points and lie in third position. In their last fixture, Daniel Farke's team shared the spoils 1-1 with Luton and the Whites will know they need wins rather than draws if they are to force their way back into the automatic promotion spots.
The last meeting between the two teams ended with Leeds winning 3-1.
Playmaker Stats on Boro: There's a lot riding on this one for both teams and it will be interesting to see if Michael Carrick's Boro can make life even more difficult for a Leeds team that has entered a rough patch at the wrong time.
While Leeds have slumped, Boro have won five of their last seven and a red-hot atmosphere on Teeside could make this a very entertaining affair.
Sam Bevan (All Day LUFC): More dropped points for Daniel Farke’s side makes it one win in six, and down to third place for the first time since December.
It was a better first half performance versus Luton, but second half was equally poor from the players and Farke himself. With the game level all half, bringing three defenders on at the 86 minute mark raises questions regarding Farke’s mentality.
We simply have to bounce back with a win, but away against a resurgent Boro side where we’ve had extremely close games in recent years, is another potential banana skin.
