PRIMAVERA, BIG 3-1 WIN OVER ROMA

AC Milan
·16 March 2025
Another big away day to keep the dream alive. After having secured a spot in the Coppa Italia final, the AC Milan Primavera came away with smiles on their faces from the most difficult fixture, away to league-leaders Roma: it finished 3-1 to Coach Guidi's side at the Tre Fontane, relaunching us in the table in the race for a spot in the Scudetto playoffs and bagging us three well-deserved points. It was a great all-round performance from the Rossoneri, from the first minute to the last: on the scoresheet were Perrucci - scoring in his second consecutive match after the derby - alongside Hodzic and today's captain Bakoune, but the entire group deserved a round of applause.
Yet another test of their level passed with flying colours by a side who this season have beaten, at home, all their direct rivals: Inter, Sassuolo, Fiorentina, Juventus and now Roma. There were many chances created this morning in the capital with a result that came as a direct consequence of our skill on the pitch. Great success, a game that takes us into the international break in the best way possible. We will be back on the pitch on the last day of March, Monday 31, as we host Sampdoria at the PUMA House of Football ahead of an April that promises to be interesting and intense. Well done, lads!

MATCH REPORT The Rossoneri got off to a good start right away: in the first 5 minutes, Perrucci had a shot saved off the line by Sangaré and Sala hit the crossbar from the edge of the box. After the intense opening, the pace cooled off at the Tre Fontane, but it was AC Milan with a handle on proceedings. In the 15th minute, Sangaré did well to stop Perrucci and in the 23rd minute, the Rossoneri number 7 went close once again with a shot from the edge of the box that went just wide. Roma tried to up their possession but without much success. The last chance came at the end of the half when Scotti made the most of a mistake from De Marzi but the Giallorossi keeper managed to keep Filippo's shot out.
The second half started off much the same as the first as we were the ones on top and after two chances for Perrucci and Sala, we opened the scoring in the 66th minute: Bakoune had a shot stopped by Marchetti but Perrucci was there to fire home on the rebound. The hosts reacted with a brilliant free kick in the 71st minute, taken by Romano who beat Longoni at the post. But this Sunday was for the AC Milan Primavera who went back ahead in the 78th minute after De Marza denied Bakoune: pass from Perucci and Hodzic was there to head home and make it 2-1. Roma pressed forward and almost went level with a half bicycle kick from Almaviva in the 84th minute but the Rossoneri had the last word. In the sixth and final minute of added time, debutant Asanji sent Hodzic off on the counter, assisting Bakoune who put it to bed: we won 3-1 in Rome!
