Inter Primavera dug deep to beat Sampdoria 1-0 at the Konami Youth Development Centre. Lavelli scored the only goal of the game, as the Nerazzurri won and are now on 71 points in second place. It was a slow start to the game. In the 17th minute, Aidoo sent his long-range effort wide. Moscona then let fly from the edge of the box, off target.
Inter threatened again in the 32nd minute, but Quieto's free-kick was turned behind by Krastev. A minute later, the hosts had the best chance of the half: Mosconi hit the bar with a thunderous effort. The Nerazzurri kept up the pressure late in the half, but it was goalless at the break. The guests came close early in the second half, as Nhaga fired off target (48'). In the 52nd minute, Mosconi cut in on his right, but the shot was saved by Krastev at his near post. Shortly afterward, Inter spurned a big chance to take the lead, Venturini firing over from close range following Cocchi's perfect ball in.
The goal came in the 75th minute. Mosconi beat his man and put in a brilliant ball for Lavelli to head it home.
Inter managed the dying moments smartly. In the 87th minute, Zouin tried to catch Krastev out, but the Blucerchiati's keeper was alert to the danger once more. After five minutes of added time, the final whistle blew, signalling an important Inter victory.
