PSG beat Toulouse 2-0 in the final of the Trophée des Champions at the Parc des Princes thanks to goals from Lee Kang-in and Kylian Mbappé.
Scorers: Kang-in 3âČ, MbappĂ© 44âČ
PSG started in dominating fashion taking the lead after just three minutes through Lee Kang-in.
Vitinha lofted a beautiful diagonal ball to Ousmane Dembélé on the right wing who side-footed the ball back across goal first time for the South Korean to slot home.
Toulouse had a decent chance shortly afterwards through Gabriel Suazo who acrobatically tried to flick the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma but the Chilean couldnât quite sneak the ball in.
The PSG domination started from then onwards with the Parisians missing a flurry of chances to extend their lead.
They were almost made to regret their missed opportunities in the 37th minute when Thijs Dallingaâs strong strike was denied at the near post by Donnarumma to keep the Ligue 1 leaders in-front.
It wouldnât have mattered because just ten minutes later MbappĂ© scored a beautiful solo goal to put his side 2-0 up on the stroke of halftime.
The Frenchman collected the ball on the edge of the box and weaved his way past three defenders and smashed his effort into the far right corner, leaving Guillaume Restes flailing through the air.
The second half pursued in similar fashion with Dallinga missing a golden chance to claw his side back into the tie, shanking his strike wide after pouncing on a rebound from close distance.
PSG maintained their dominance in possession and saw the game out with relative ease despite a late scare from Rasmus Nicolaisen who sliced his effort off target, ending all hopes of a comeback and handing Luis Enriqueâs side a record 12th TrophĂ©e des Champions title.
