According to a report from Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain have ended their long-running pursuit of Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva (29).
PSG’s interest in Silva is long-standing and dates back to Luis Campos’ arrival at the club back in the summer of 2022. The Portuguese sporting director is a big admirer of his compatriot and has been pushing to bring him to the Parc des Princes. However, those efforts have been in vain, with Pep Guardiola determined to keep the forward, who has been key to the Cityzens’ success in recent years.
It had been expected that PSG would re-ignite their interest this summer, however, following talks between Campos and Luis Enrique, the priorities have now changed. Les Parisiens are no longer looking to recruit on the right-hand side of their forward line with their priorities lying elsewhere. A left-winger is notably sought after with Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (23) a priority target for the club.
