PSG manager Luís Enrique ‘worried’ by terrorist threat | OneFootball

This week’s UEFA Champions League fixtures will take place in an uneasy environment after ISIS allegedly threatened attacks on all four quarter-finals, including PSG’s match against Barcelona.

The alleged threat was issued yesterday, with Islamic State (ISIS) stating that they would attack stadia hosting Champions League matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Following the alleged threat, security measures have been reinforced in France. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced the measures during an interview on Tuesday morning.

“The police chief, with whom I spoke very early this morning, has considerably strengthened security resources [following a] clear threat publicly mentioned by Islamic State,” stated Darmanin. The measures will therefore be in place as Barcelona visit the Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of the match, in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Luís Enrique expressed concern. “Who isn’t concerned? Everyone is worried. I hope we can control it and that they just remain threats and nothing happens,” said the Spaniard.
