Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly showing a strong interest in Porto striker Samu Omorodion, who has made a superb start to the season after almost completing a transfer to Chelsea in the summer.
The talented young Spaniard has seven goals in his first seven games for Porto and it’s easy to see why there was interest from a big club like Chelsea in the summer, and why PSG are now prepared to pay big for him now, according to a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes.
Omorodion looks like he could do a job for PSG, who lost star forward Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer in the summer, while the likes of Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos haven’t been particularly impressive in the French capital so far.
This could be a blow for Chelsea, however, as one imagines there may well have been some figures at Stamford Bridge who would have been keen to try again for the 20-year-old at some point in the future.

Chelsea have Nicolas Jackson in fine form at the moment, while Christopher Nkunku is another option, so it remains to be seen if they’d still make Omorodion one of their priorities.
Fichajes also claim that PSG could be prepared to pay as much as €100m for Omorodion, so it’s pretty clear he’s already going to be a lot more expensive than he would’ve been while he was at Atletico Madrid.
PSG have plenty of financial strength, so it shouldn’t be a major issue for them, but one imagines it might still require cashing in on either one of Kolo Muani or Ramos.
Still, Fabrizio Romano recently played down Kolo Muani exit rumours, so this saga is far from clear at this point and will probably be one that starts to take shape in a few months.
