According to Globo, Gabriel Moscardo (18) might not play for Corinthians again despite being on loan from Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the season, even if he returns to fitness.

Moscardo joined Les Parisiens from the Brazilian side in the winter transfer window in a deal that was thrown into chaos when the defensive midfielder failed his medical. The French club identified a foot injury that would require surgery and were hesitant to complete the transfer due to the risks involved in the operation.

After public pressure from the Corinthians president Augusto Melo, PSG eventually relented and confirmed the transfer, on the condition that Moscardo would return to Corinthians on loan where he would recuperate from his injury.

Moscardo may soon return to fitness, with it being reported that next month the player will be allowed to begin training with the ball. However, despite this, there is no guarantee that Moscardo will represent Corinthians during this time.

Melo during an interview with SBT Brasil explained that Moscardo “will no longer play for Corinthians, he is just recovering.”
