‘PSV sees opportunities and is eyeing Feyenoord top talent with expiring contract’ | OneFootball

Feyenoord are doing everything they can to keep hold of Thijs Kraaijeveld. The seventeen-year-old midfielder has attracted the attention of PSV, as Eindhovens Dagblad reporter Rik Elfrink reports via X.

Voetbal Primeur profiles Kraaijeveld as one of those considered a great talent in Rotterdam-Zuid, looking to follow in the footsteps of exciting starlets like Antoni Milambo to the first team. However, the versatile midfielder has an expiring contract.

Feyenoord have reportedly already made him a new offer, but there is no confirmation as of yet. PSV hope to profit from that, with Elfrink reporting:

“PSV and Ajax facilitate a Jong-team in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, Feyenoord does not. That could play a role in the decision (as his) contract expires.”

The youngster is clearly taking time to think about his options, and being courted by big clubs isn’t a new thing. Both PSV and Ajax were after Kraaijeveld a few years ago, but the youth international decided to stay with Feyenoord.

He recently returned from an injury that kept him out for six months. Under Arne Slot he was allowed to train regularly with the first team, and after his recovery, he will no doubt be hopeful that Brian Priske affords him the same opportunity.
