The Puebla vs Necaxa Liga MX match will be broadcast live online and on TV as Los Camoteros host Los Rayos at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc this Friday, November 22, at 5:00 PM Pacific.
Puebla has been one of the worst teams in the Liga MX 2019 Apertura, currently in 18th place with just 14 points. La Franja is winless in its last six league games and has lost four of its last five games as well.
Los Camoteros do not have the worst roster in the league with players like Alejandro Chumacero and Lucas Cavallini, but it has not worked out this season. Team captain Brayan Angulo was injured in Puebla’s Week 16 match against Veracruz and is set to miss some significant time. Puebla lost to Veracruz in that Week 16 matchup snapping a 41-game winless streak for Los Tiburones Rojos.
Necaxa has arguably been the biggest surprise of the tournament, currently in second place with 31 points. The team from Aguascalientes has overachieved expectations massively this season thanks to signings like Mauro Quiroga and Maxi Salas.
Los Rayos have been led by Quiroga and Salas, who have combined for 18 goals scored this season. Players like Cristian Calderon have also excelled as the Mexican fullback has received recent attention by “Tata” Martino and El Tri.
FutnSoccer predicts a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Cuauhtemoc as Necaxa is the better team, but Puebla will count with the home-field advantage.
