FLW takes a look at the attendance figures at Loftus Road so far during the 2024/25 campaign.

Queens Park Rangers have endured a difficult start in the Championship season, and the attendance for their latest home game against Hull City was below 13,500, something which only happened once in the league throughout the previous campaign.

There was cautious optimism among QPR supporters ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, with Marti Cifuentes embarking on his first full season in charge at Loftus Road after guiding the club to safety in the second tier last term.

However, the Rs find themselves languishing towards the bottom of the table with just one win from eight league games so far, having suffered a frustrating defeat against the Tigers in midweek.

Cifuentes was handed a new long-term contract at the start of the week, and the Spaniard will be hoping to secure a couple of positive results against newly-promoted sides Derby County and Portsmouth in the next two games.

If the Hoops do not start to produce some good results in the next few weeks, there is a chance that the attendance figures at Loftus Road could deteriorate.

Loftus Road has a capacity of 18,439, and although it has been a while since there was a complete sell-out, there were at least 16,000 fans in attendance regularly during the 2023/24 season, as per Transfermarkt.com.

The only time that there were less than 13,500 supporters in the crowd for a Championship fixture last season was against Swansea City in the first Tuesday night league game of the campaign, and the club will hope that the attendance only dropped below that number against Hull in midweek for the same reason.

There has yet to be more than 16,000 supporters at Loftus Road for any game so far this season, so the team may need to improve their performances if they are going to see the same sort of numbers that were often in the ground last term.

Let's take a look at the attendances at Loftus Road so far this season in more detail.
