Rangers kept their Scottish Cup defence alive with a 3-0 win over Raith Rovers on Sunday.
Scorers: Goldson 42′, Nolan (OG) 58′, Arfield 88′
Connor Goldson handed the reigning holders a late first-half lead at Ibrox by meeting Borna Barisic’s corner with a powerful header to record his second goal in three games.
Michael Beale’s side doubled their advantage shortly before the hour mark, when one of multiple crosses into the Raith penalty area saw Ryan Nolan slice a wayward clearance into his own net.
The visitors resorted to ambitious long-range efforts from inside their own half in attempts to gain a foothold in the tie but still failed to trouble Allan McGregor in the Gers’ goal.
Scott Arfield added a third in the final minutes of the tie after he was teed up by Todd Cantwell.
Rangers join league champions Celtic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the last four, with the winner from Monday’s last quarter-final tie between Falkirk and Ayr United set to complete the line-up.
