Rangers cruised past Livingston to reach the next round of the Scottish League Cup on Wednesday.
Scorers: Sima 10′, 84′ Yilmaz 66′, Jack 90+2′
It was a fairly easy 90 minutes of action for Rangers as they pulled off a dominant showing in front of home fans.
It didn’t take long for the hosts to break the deadlock when Abdallah Sima showed some individual brilliance within less than 10 minutes.
The No. 19 stood strong during his run down the left wing, and while Livingston thought there was a push in the build-up, Sima cut into the box, looked up and shot the ball into the far corner.
About an hour would pass before the second goal but then the floodgates opened.
The visitors allowed Ridvan Yilmaz to run beyond them easily and he recorded his first goal for the club with a curler from the top of the box.
Sima later demonstrated he wasn’t out of energy and put the match to bed with a left-footed shot from the left side of the box.
A fourth arrived immediately after when Ryan Jack continued the party after pouncing on a loose ball in the box as Rangers cruised through.
