CM Punk is one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling. And over the last year, his storylines have become linked with Celtic on a few occasions. He had a long feud with Drew McIntyre, who is a well-known Rangers supporter. So, it is not hard to see why that direction was taken.

At last year's Clash at the Castle, CM Punk ended up costing McIntyre a match. In the press conference following the event, he wore a Celtic track top, obviously a subtle dig at his rival.

During WWE's recent visit to Glasgow, CM Punk was pictured in the iconic green-and-white jersey and with a special Celtic-themed title belt. And he has taken his connection with the club one step further by visiting Parkhead this time around, and taking a tour of the stadium.

CM Punk spoke with Celtic TV during his visit to Parkhead. After taking pictures with the three domestic trophies, he also joked that he needed to send the picture to McIntyre. Of course, being a Rangers fan, he has not seen silverware often in recent years.

It is great to see Celtic be involved in this kind of social media stuff, something that they have not done to this level in the past. It is an opportunity to reach a new audience.

WWE is huge worldwide. They have 108 million subscribers on YouTube. On the other hand, CM Punk himself has 1.6 million followers on Instagram.

So, such collaborations might help Celtic reach people who did not have any idea about the club. And of course, it is also cool for the supporters who are also fans of the WWE. Just have a look at the positive comments on the YouTube video of CM Punk's interview.
