Rangers are weighing up a €5m bid for Anderlecht centre-back James Lawrence in a bid to bolster their backline for the upcoming campaign.
Steven Gerrard’s side are on the hunt for a new central defender having previously been linked with Oldham’s George Edmundson.
But now a story in the Daily Record has revealed that the SPL side are eyeing a move for Lawrence after his impressive season in Belgium.
Lawrence came through the Arsenal and Queens Park Rangers youth academies as a youngster but has since had a nomadic early career, playing in the Netherlands and Slovakia.
The 26-year-old played 28 times for the Brussels side last term as they claimed another Jupiler League title.
