A fresh insight into the wellbeing of Barcelona star Raphinha has on Monday come to the fore online.

And the news will no doubt be met with a collective sigh of relief on the part of the Barcelona faithful.

Wide-man Raphinha of course played no part on Sunday, as Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana made short work of Catalan rivals Girona in a La Liga clash.

This came after the former Leeds United man was a late return to base following his commitments with Brazil on the international front.

Speaking to the media post-match, Hansi Flick admitted that Raphinha missed out owing to ‘discomfort’.

As much gave rise to further question marks surrounding the wellbeing of the 28-year-old, whose status to feature in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final showdown with Atlético Madrid on Wednesday was in turn thrown into doubt.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Monday is anything to go by, then Barca’s supporters need not fret.

As per a report from club insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS:

‘Sources consulted by this newspaper within the dressing room responded emphatically to the question of whether Flick will be able to count on Raphinha for the match against Atlético Madrid: “He’ll be 190% fit”.’
