Over the last one and a half years, the FC Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has emerged as one of the most promising and exciting talents in European football.

Despite being only 17 years of age, the winger has been performing at a very high level for the last two seasons. Since the start of this season, he has already scored 8 goals and provided 12 assists in 23 appearances.

“Lamine is going to win quite a few Ballon d’Or awards… let’s say three.”

Yamal has already got some notable individual honors to his name, and only in the last few months, has he won the Kopa Trophy and the Golden Boy Award. For the last Ballon d’Or, he stood 8th in the ranking and with the way he is playing, this position is definitely going to improve next year.

However, the South American winger still cautioned people to avoid comparing his young teammate with a legend as big as Lionel Messi, whose number of Ballon d’Or wins goes up to eight.

In addition to predicting the number of Ballon d’Ors that Yamal would win, Raphinha also picked him as one player from his Barcelona squad whom he would nationalize to wear the Brazilian shirt.
