Barcelona have a special game ahead of them later today as they take on Rayo Vallecano at the Estadi Olimpic de Lluis Companys.
While the game is not extraordinary from the perspective of any silverware, it gives Hansi Flick’s men a golden chance to capitalise on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid’s slip-ups and thus go on top with a win.
After seemingly bottling their lead towards the end of last year, Barcelona could well be back on top later tonight and it will be on the player’s mind to ensure that they capitalise on the same.
Speaking to the media ahead of Barcelona’s game against Rayo Vallecano later tonight, the visitor club’s president Martin Presa commented on a plethora of topics including his team’s chances and Barcelona’s form.
He began by outlining his team’s mentality heading into the game and whether he thought they had any chance against the potential league leaders.
“We are in our best moment of the season. We will try to put all our weapons to, at least, compete in the game and get a good result,” he began.
He then declared that heading into a game against Barcelona at Montjuic was simply terrifying as the president of Rayo Vallecano.
“Today it’s like we’re going to the slaughterhouse,” he remarked.

Praising the Catalans, Presa outright stated that they are the best in the world in what comes as massive praise.
“Barcelona are the best team in the world and a real candidate for the treble,” he noted.
“They are playing the best football on the planet,” he added.
The La Liga club president then spoke on Joan Laporta’s conversation with him last season which surprisingly revolved around the name of a certain Hansi Flick.
“Last season in matchday 37 Laporta was talking to me about Flick and he was convinced that Flick could improve the team. It’s a brave personal decision from Laporta.”
Finally, he was asked to give his two cents on the Negreira issue and Barcelona’s possible consequences, to which he replied that there was a gross lack of evidence for any action to be justified.
“There is a possibility of acquittal, and if we do not have certain evidence we will not accuse anyone.”
