RB Leipzig set to land Napoli’s Eljif Elmas | OneFootball

German giants RB Leipzig have now sealed the deal for Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas.

Since joining Napoli in 2019 from Fenerbahce, Elmas hasn’t quite broken into the first team at the Partenopei and has never been able to show his full range of qualities on a consistent basis.

Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that the North Macedonian is set to join Leipzig in January, after talks between the two clubs were said to be ongoing over the last few days. An agreement now exists between the two clubs and personal terms between Elmas and Leipzig have already been agreed.

Napoli will receive a fee of €25 million from the sale and it was the first offer that the German giants had made some days ago. The medical is expected to take place before the end of the month, with Napoli CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis also having confirmed that the move will go through.
