Real Betis make Lille’s Ivan Cavaleiro priority target | OneFootball

Ivan Cavaleiro (30) quickly imposed himself at Lille OSC when he arrived on a free transfer from Fulham FC last summer, however, as the season has progressed, the winger’s game time has diminished and a departure from the Stade Pierre-Mauroy at the end of the season is a real possibility, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

After starting in nine of Lille’s first 13 games of the Ligue 1 season, Cavaleiro looked to be a key component in Paulo Fonseca’s side, however, the Portuguese winger was forced to undergo surgery on a pubalgia injury in December, which kept him sidelined for two months.

Cavaleiro has since struggled to bounce back and despite making 22 appearances in all competitions this season, a departure from Lille is a possibility. Foot Mercato understands that La Liga side Real Betis have made Cavaleiro a priority signing, aware that they will lose Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer this summer.
