Real Betis president Haro confirms interest for West Ham defender Balbuena; delighted with Barcelona business | OneFootball

Real Betis president Angel Haro has confirmed interest in released West Ham defender Fabian Balbuena.

The Paraguay international is being allowed to come off contract at West Ham this month.

Haro said, "He is a player that we are following, he is interesting. But he is one more in the list of centrals. He is one more option. His profile is there, what we try is to be cautious, not to give more information than necessary."

Meanwhile, Haro also commented on the deal for Barcelona fullback Juan Miranda and allowing Emerson Royal to move in the opposite direction.

He said, "We are very happy, he continues to grow. We have been trying for several years to get him back from Barcelona. Last year we made this loan and there was this possibility that he would become a Betis player. He is a great asset."

On Emerson, Haro added: "I think it was a good operation. Six million (euros) were invested and we already have a capital gain of three million plus a future percentage of sale. Hopefully we will do many operations of this type."
