Real Betis star returns to training after 5 months out | OneFootball

A long-time injury absentee at La Liga outfit Real Betis has this week returned to training with his teammates.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards William Carvalho as the player in question.

Midfielder Carvalho was for his part condemned to a lengthy spell on the sidelines back in September of last year.

This came after the Portuguese international suffered a ruptured Achilles en route to Real Betis’ 2-0 La Liga victory over Leganés.

Carvalho has spent the months since working tirelessly towards a return to the pitch, beginning at home, and since ramped up at Betis’ training base under the club’s watch.

And as alluded to above, on Tuesday, such efforts took a significant step forward.

As per a report from Marca, the 32-year-old was an altogether noteworthy inclusion in training alongside the rest of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad this morning.

His return to the grass comes ‘with the aim of returning to the playing field in a few weeks’.
