Time flies and in the case of Rodrygo, time has certainly flows as far as his career at Real Madrid are concerned.
Joining the club as a mere teenager back in 2019, Rodrygo has established himself as a proven and reliable option upfront for Los Blancos.
And recently, the Brazilian has reached the magic figure of 250 competitive appearances for the club, when he appeared as a substitute against Osasuna this past weekend.
While the game created all sorts of controversies, it was a memorable one for Rodrygo, who spoke to fans and his teammates through a special message.
Talking about his 250th appearance for the club, Rodrygo expressed gratitude and vowed to make many appearances for the club.
“It means a lot to me. It is a dream that I fulfil every day playing here and I am very excited about this mark. I want to achieve many more. It is a very special mark and I want to achieve more and more things with this shirt,” he told the club’s official media.

“I came here with the aim of winning everything and achieving all the titles, but I didn’t imagine that I would win them so quickly. I didn’t imagine that I would already have 2 Champions Leagues . I am very happy,” the forward added.
At the start of the season, Rodrygo was one of the players facing an uncertain future at Real Madrid, as many expected him to be demoted following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
However, as we approach the final stretch of the campaign, Rodrygo has racked up 33 appearances, and has been involved in 20 goals in all competitions.
Talking about his season so far, Rodrygo stated, “I am happy with my goals this season. The truth is that I want to score many more. I see myself getting better and better and I am in a great moment.
“The team is also very good, growing every day and improving. Now important things and difficult matches are coming, but we are well, focused, and we are going for it.”
Rodrygo is currently in his sixth season at the club. During his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, the forward has racked up 67 goals and 48 assists.
Rodrygo will be hoping to further extend those numbers as Real Madrid gear up for a crucial phase of the campaign.
