After weeks of impasse, Real Madrid appear to be making some progress in their pursuit of Leny Yoro.

The LOSC Lille starlet has been identified as the ideal defensive reinforcement for Real Madrid, as they look to find a long-term replacement for Nacho Fernandez.

While Real Madrid were eyeing a move for Yoro for a while, the club were not able to find an agreement with Lille, who were holding out for a high valuation for the defender.

However, recent reports suggest Lille could be willing to lower their price tag for Yoro, knowing they could run the risk of seeing the player for free next summer.

Real Madrid agree €40-50 million fee for Yoro

According to Rodra P, Real Madrid and Lille have engaged in discussions centred around a fee ranging between €40 million to €50 million.

Initially apart in their valuation of the player, with Real Madrid aiming for around €40 million and Lille seeking closer to €50 million, both parties are reportedly open to bridging the gap with add-ons and performance-related variables.

Earlier today, it was reported that Real Madrid have aside a budget of around €90 million for the pursuit of Yoro and Alphonso Davies.

Signing Yoro for somewhere around €40-50 million should not bother Real Madrid, especially considering the player’s potential and what he can offer to the table.

The club’s technical staff are already planning for Yoro’s integration alongside established names like Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao, and David Alaba. They view him as a cornerstone for the future.

However, the deal is far from being done and the two clubs must still dole out the final details before Leny Yoro can make the move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Once the Yoro deal is done, Real Madrid can focus on their next defensive target in the form of Alphonso Davies, who appears likely to leave Bayern Munich this summer.
