Real Madrid fans have a new label for Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Sunday evening come in for widespread criticism, particularly on the part of the Real Madrid faithful.

This comes owing to developments early in the season’s final Clásico.

The biggest fixture in the Spanish football calendar is of course currently being contested, in Catalunya’s capital.

In a crunch clash atop the La Liga table, Barcelona have welcomed Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid to Montjuïc, with the title essentially on the line.

The aforementioned Lamine Yamal was for his part afforded a starting berth in the clash, and has since played a telling role in the hosts’ latest comeback effort, courtesy of a wonderful left-footed goal.

Prior to as much, however, the Blaugrana’s wing sensation was responsible for an altogether less positive contribution.

Going to ground in the middle of the park screaming and clutching his leg, Lamine saw his appeals for a free-kick waved off, allowing Real Madrid to head down the other end and find the net through Kylian Mbappé.

Replays of the incident showcased the fact that contact, if there was any at all, was minimal, with Lamine having been looking for the foul.

And as much has since culminated in heavy criticism online, as the prodigious young attacker continues to build a reputation in the eyes of the Real Madrid fanbase as a ‘diver’.
