Thibaut Courtois is well and truly back in form for Real Madrid. After a season he largely missed through injury, the veteran is looking sharp once more and raring to go for the ongoing campaign.

The situation of Andriy Lunin, however, continues to be under a cloud of doubt as the Ukrainian star is growing increasingly certain that he will not have minutes under Carlo Ancelotti.

After all, he has been considering an exit for a while now and a move in the final days of the transfer market cannot be ruled out.

13 days of uncertainty

13 days remain before the transfer window closes and it is still unclear how the goalkeeping squad depth will look at the end of it as revealed by AS.

After all, Lunin appears to have his heart set on a move away from the club as he desperately seeks minutes at the highest level. Yet, not much has advanced in negotiations over the past few weeks.

Lunin’s agent, Jorge Mendes, still endures a rocky relationship with the Real Madrid management especially after the failed transfer of Leny Yoro. Needless to say, that is one of the key factors behind the stalling of his transfer.

Kepa’s situation

With just 13 days remaining, one can expect Lunin’s departure to gain steam in the coming days if indeed the player is looking for a way out.

Concurrently, Kepa Arrizabalaga has stalled his departure from Chelsea hoping for an offer from the Spanish capital as he desperately seeks a move back to the club.

With Lunin’s contract running out at the end of the season, Carlo Ancelotti and Co. have a big decision to make. They must either sell the player now or renew his contract, else stand the risk of losing him on a free transfer next summer.
