According to a report from Manuel Amor (h/t RM4 Arab), Real Madrid are actively working on securing Vinicius Jr.’s future at the club by planning to extend his contract beyond 2027.

The journalist mentions that along with the contract extension, the club intends to offer him a salary increase that reflects his status as one of the best players in the world.

These efforts come as part of the club’s strategy to ensure they retain one of their most valuable assets for the foreseeable future and for that, the upcoming weeks and months are expected to be crucial in this matter, with intense negotiations on the horizon.

Why the sudden movement?

Recently, however, Vinicius has found himself at the centre of rumours regarding a move to Saudi Arabia. Last summer, the Saudi Arabian league reportedly offered him a massive contract worth €1,000 million over five years.

Although that move did not materialise, the Saudis are once again looking to bring him to their league.
