A recent report from Fichajes has revealed that intermediaries have offered Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman to Real Madrid in an attempt to secure him a place among Europe’s top clubs.
As it turns out, however, Florentino Perez and the Real Madrid board have decided against pursuing a move for the Nigerian attacker.
Lookman’s career has taken a significant turn since he arrived in Italian football in 2022.
Before joining Atalanta, he struggled to find consistency during his time in the Premier League and Bundesliga, failing to establish himself as a key player at his previous clubs.
However, his move to Serie A provided him with the ideal environment to refine his skills and showcase his full potential.
His performances were instrumental in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League triumph last season, and he has since developed into one of the most efficient attackers in Italian football.

This season, the 27-year-old forward has continued to impress, contributing 18 goals and seven assists in 32 matches across all competitions.
His ability to make an impact in the final third has attracted attention from several top European clubs looking to bolster their attacking options.
As a quick and dynamic winger, he could have added an extra dimension to Real Madrid’s forward line, which already boasts an impressive trio of Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, and Kylian Mbappr.
Despite the opportunity to sign him, Real Madrid have opted to maintain confidence in their existing squad.
The club remains committed to its current attacking structure and does not see Lookman as a necessary addition at this stage.
With Madrid ruling out a move, the Nigerian forward will now have to explore other options if he wishes to secure a transfer to a club competing at the highest level of European football.
