In June, one of football’s longest-winded transfer sagas finally came to a close as Real Madrid announced the signing of Kylian Mbappé (25) as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain. Undoubtedly, the pending unveiling of the France captain has stirred much excitement among fans of the Champions League winners as they plot to print his name on the back of their shirts.

As reported by Marca, fans of Madrid hoping to get their hands on a Mbappé shirt will have to contend with a lengthy waiting time. Disappointed fans trying to purchase the former PSG attacker’s shirt on the club’s official website were greeted with a message saying, “Due to current high demand, items in this collection may be delayed in delivery by up to an additional 4-6 weeks, regardless of the shipping method chosen.”

With France’s exit from EURO 2024 now confirmed, Real Madrid are preparing to unveil their latest Galactico to their fans. Mbappé should be presented at the Santiago Bernabèu on the 16th of July. The 25-year-old will wear the number 9 jersey during his first season in the Spanish capital.
