Real Madrid star Lucas Vázquez is adamant that he and his teammates are capable of turning around their Champions League tie against Arsenal.

This, of course, comes fresh off an embarrassing defeat for Los Blancos in the first leg in north London on Tuesday evening.

After making the trip to The Emirates with sights on a bounce-back performance, Real Madrid were condemned to the wrong side of an eventual 3-0 result.

After Declan Rice drove home a stunning pair of free-kicks, Mikel Merino added some gloss to the scoreline by way of a fine finish of his own.

As much leaves the reigning Champions League holders on the very brink of elimination from the competition.

And yet, one individual who remains confident in Real Madrid’s chances of turning things around in next week’s return leg in Spain is the aforementioned Lucas Vázquez.

Drawn on the odds of Carlo Ancelotti’s side advancing to the Champions League’s semi-finals post-match, defender Vázquez assured:

“If there’s a team that can turn around a 3-0 loss, it’s Real Madrid. The next match will be a totally different game. Together, we’re going to pull through.”
