Real Madrid star Jesús Vallejo is ready to reject the club’s efforts to find him a new club this month.

That’s according to Blancos insider Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE, who has provided a fresh insight into the latest developments surrounding the defender’s future.

The name of stopper Vallejo has of course reemerged as a prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last 24 hours.

This comes after the absence of the 28-year-old from Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey squad to face Deportiva Minera was swiftly followed by speculation that he was eyeing a January transfer.

Vallejo has managed just 10 minutes of playing time across the season to date.

As alluded to above, though, if ensuing media reports in the time since are anything to go by, then the Spaniard’s stance, in fact, is quite the opposite.

As per the aforementioned Miguel Ángel Díaz:

‘Real Madrid want Vallejo to leave in the winter transfer market. Ancelotti doesn’t count on him. Vallejo does not want to leave and prefers to finish the season and fulfil his contract.’
