Real Madrid star ruled out of RB Salzburg clash | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to be without the services of an important member of the club’s backline in their next outing on the continent.

This comes owing to developments on Tuesday night.

Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Italy for a Champions League showdown with in-form Atalanta.

When all was said and done, Los Blancos emerged triumphant, courtesy of a hard-fought 3-2 result.

En route to as much, however, the personnel woes in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad worsened once more.

First, during the first-half in Bergamo, Kylian Mbappé was forced into a premature departure from proceedings, owing to an injury blow.

Then, on the far side of the interval, Lucas Vázquez was shown a yellow card.

His third of the Champions League campaign to date, the versatile right-back will in turn be unavailable for selection for Real Madrid’s meeting with RB Salzburg next month, through suspension.
