La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without star attacker Vinícius Jr. in the club’s next outing on the continent.
This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with RB Salzburg.
Real Madrid are of course locked in action at present.
Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent, Los Blancos have welcomed the aforementioned Salzburg to Spain’s capital, for a Champions League clash.
And, as things stand, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops find themselves well on their way to a third consecutive victory across all competitions.
This comes with goals on the part of all of Rodrygo (2), Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. having guided Real into an unassailable 4-0 lead.
As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive evening’s work to date for Los Merengues, one blow has also been forthcoming on the personnel front.
This comes with goalscorer Vinícius Jr. having picked up a yellow card.
His third of the Champions League campaign, the Brazilian is therefore facing up to a one-game suspension in the competition.
Vinícius’ ban will be served next Wednesday, against Ligue 1 outfit Brest.
