Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni has taken to social media, to send a message of apology to Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby.
As much comes after the Frenchman was involved in an unfortunate incident, which appears to have left Diakhaby with a serious injury.
Late in a drama-filled affair between Real and Valencia at the Mestalla, Tchouaméni fell awkwardly on the leg of Los Che’s key stopper.
The collision came as a complete accident, with the former having had little control over his momentum.
With Diakhaby’s leg having been grounded upon impact, though, the serious nature of the coming together quickly became clear.
As the 27-year-old lay motionless on the Mestalla turf, in evident pain, players from both sides were seen with hands on their heads, in utter shock at the nature of the injury.
Post-match on Saturday night, the aforementioned Tchouaméni, in turn, sent a heartfelt apology to Diakhaby.
Taking to his official ‘X’ account, the former Monaco man unveiled a post featuring a photo of the Valencia standout, alongside the caption:
“Really sorry for what happened @Diakhaby_5, I wish you a quick recovery”
Vraiment désolé de ce qu'il s'est passé @Diakhaby_5 , je te souhaite un rétablissement rapide 🙏🏾❤️–
