Real Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Guler is keen on a move to Serie A, with Inter Milan in pole position for his signature.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908. The note that the presence of Turkey captain Hakan Calhanoglu in the Inter squad could be a key factor.

The big transfer news coming out of Spain in recent days has concerned young Real Madrid attacking midfielder Arda Guler.

Reportedly, the 20-year-old is not happy in the Spanish capital. He has not received the kind of playing time he’d expected.

Guler joined Real from Fenerbahce last summer. And so far, he has made just seven starts for Los Blancos.

However, according to Tuttosport, Arda Guler would have his heart set on a different league.

The newspaper reports that the 20-year-old believes that Serie A would be the right next step.

Therefore, the big clubs in the Italian top flight are on alert to the potential transfer opportunity.

And according to Tuttosport, there is one club above all who are in a strong position to sign Guler: Inter.

The newspaper report that the decisive factor could be the fact that Hakan Calhanoglu is a pillar of the Nerazzurri squad.

Calhanoglu is also the captain of the Turkey national team. Therefore, he would be a player Guler already knows well.

The 31-year-old could be the perfect mentor figure for Guler to settle in at the San Siro.
