Shortly after Vinicius Junior’s Ballon d’Or snub, it was reported that Saudi Arabia are more hopeful than ever, in their bid to sign the Real Madrid superstar.
It appears the failure to win the Ballon d’Or has taken a great mental toll on Vinicius, who has received immense support from his teammates and coaches.
But it is perhaps true that Vinicius’ Ballon d’Or snub could lead to discussions over his future at the club. At least that is what Mundo Deportivo suggests.
As per the report, Vinicius continues to face an uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu despite his firm contract with the club until 2027 and an imposing one billion euro release clause.
While this arrangement seems to safeguard his stay, persistent interest from top clubs and mounting factors hint at a potential exit.

As mentioned earlier, interest from Saudi Arabia has not subsided. Clubs like PSG, Chelsea, and Manchester United are also monitoring the forward’s situation closely.
With Vinicius reportedly disappointed after missing out on the Ballon d’Or, the Brazilian’s discontent and the hostility he sometimes experiences in Spanish stadiums are being leveraged by these teams as an opportunity to lure him away
Despite the rumours, Real Madrid and the dressing room have rallied around Vinicius. Manager Carlo Ancelotti and the club publicly demonstrated their support, even snubbing the Ballon d’Or ceremony in a gesture of solidarity.
High-profile figures such as Karim Benzema have also voiced their encouragement, which has helped uplift the young star.
However, as Vinicius’ representatives prepare for a meeting with Real Madrid in the coming weeks, the club’s efforts may soon face their true test.
Whether Real Madrid’s support will quell the transfer talk remains to be seen.
