La Liga champions Real Madrid have on Friday been credited with an interest in the signature of a member of the defensive ranks at Manchester United.

The player in question? Lisandro Martínez.

It is of course common knowledge that the brass at Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements at the back with a view to next season.

As much comes amid long-standing injury woes at the heart of Carlo Ancelotti’s defence.

A shortlist of names, in turn, has been drawn up ahead of the summer transfer window in 2025.

And, as per a report from Diario AS, citing Caught Offside, one recent addition to this list comes in the form of the aforementioned Lisandro Martínez.

Los Blancos are understood to be long-term admirers of the talents boased by the World Cup winner, ‘monitoring his situation’ for the 2025/26 campaign.

Securing a deal, however, will be no easy talk, with Paris Saint-Germain also in the hunt, and Manchester United working to tie Lisandro down to a new contract.
