Joshua Kimmich continues to be in the headlines with his future at Bayern Munich still far from being sorted out.

The 30-year-old’s contract with the record Bundesliga champions expires at the end of the season and negotiations had been progressing positively.

However, things have seemingly taken a drastic turn, giving way to speculations about a transfer away from the Allianz Arena in the summer.

Real Madrid will not move for Kimmich

In the recent past, there have been strong links between Real Madrid and Joshua Kimmich, with reports from Germany stating that there had been contact between the two parties to explore the possibility of a transfer.

Sources close to the club shot down these claims and now SPORT reports that despite the midfielder’s contract talks with Bayern Munich falling through, Real Madrid have no plans to sign him.

Kimmich and Bayern Munich have reached an impasse in negotiations leading to the Bavarian giants withdrawing their contract offer for their ace midfielder.

If the situation does not change, the 30-year-old German international can leave the club as a free agent in the summer.

Kimmich is believed to have offered himself to Real Madrid, knowing that they are on the lookout for a midfielder to replace Toni Kroos.

But the Spanish capital giants have no interest in signing him and have informed him of the same as well. The club’s stance will not change despite the recent collapse in contract negotiations between Bayern and the player.

Barcelona, another club that Kimmich saw as a possible destination, have also ruled out a move, leaving him with limited options – Manchester City, PSG, or renew with Bayern Munich.
