The name of wide-man De León will of course be well-known to those who closely follow ongoings on the white half of the Madrid divide.

This comes with the Puerto Rican having been called up to travel with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for a number of the club’s most high-profile fixtures en route to clinching Champions League glory last season.

Safe to say, however, that his efforts to build on as much have since not gone at all according to plan.

The early weeks of the new campaign saw De León sidelined with an ankle injury, since which he has struggled to work his way back into the plans of Castilla boss Raúl.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, the young attacker has been dealt a fresh blow.

As per a report from Relevo:

‘The Puerto Rican striker from Real Madrid’s reserve team has suffered a shoulder injury and will be out of action until 2025.’

De León will imminently go under the knife to repair the problem.
