Real Madrid forward Rodrygo is set to make a return to action against Getafe, although he will begin the game on the bench, according to a report from MARCA.
This marks a significant development for Los Blancos, as the Brazilian’s recovery was much quicker than initially expected. Rodrygo resumed full training just a few days ago, providing a major boost to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
It must be noted that Rodrygo sustained an injury during Real Madrid’s clash with Osasuna in early November, and his recovery was initially projected to take around six weeks.
However, the 23-year-old has halved that timeline, making himself available for selection in just three weeks. While he won’t start against Getafe this afternoon, there is a possibility he could come on in the second half, depending on the match situation.
Behind this quick comeback lies an immense amount of effort. Rodrygo’s recovery process involved rigorous work, both at the club’s facilities in the mornings and with his personal fitness trainer in the afternoons.

This dedication to extra training sessions has helped him regain fitness faster than anticipated.
Although he is not fully match-ready, his availability on the bench is a welcome relief for Ancelotti, especially given the current shortage of attacking options due to Vinicius Jr’s ongoing injury.
Rodrygo’s early return feels like a ‘miracle’ for Real Madrid, who are currently stretched thin in their attacking lineup. His presence, even as a substitute, could provide the spark the team needs in this crucial phase of the season.
With important fixtures on the horizon, having Rodrygo back in the squad will undoubtedly be a boost for the team’s morale and performance.
For now, all eyes will be on whether the Brazilian forward gets the opportunity to make an impact later in today’s match.
