Premier League upstarts Bournemouth look to continue their strong start to the 2024-25 season in a tricky clash away at Brentford in a mid-table battle with top-half implications.
Andoni Iraola’s men jumped to a justified 1-0 lead thanks to Brazilian striker Evanilson, who did well to pounce on an error at the back by Sepp van den Berg to slot past keeper Mark Flekken.
Evanilson, who arrived for a club record fee this summer from Portuguese giants Porto, looks to have found his shooting boots on the south coast as of late, with his goal in the 17th minute coming in as his third in as many matches.
Brentford have since levelled matters through none other than Yoann Wissa.
Now sitting on four Premier League goals on the season, it looks as though the 25-year-old could be ready to repay the faith shown in him.
