Tijjani Reijnders spoke to the media after AC Milan’s 2-2 draw against Fiorentina earlier this evening. Once again, he criticised the Rossoneri for failing to play well from the first minute, forced to work their way back.
Milan conceded two goals within the first ten minutes and thus had an uphill battle for the rest of the game. Tammy Abraham pulled one back in the first half and then Luka Jovic, the MOTM this evening, found the equaliser in the second half.
Speaking to DAZN after the draw, as transcribed by MilanNews, Reijnders shared his thoughts on the result. He criticised the Rossoneri, once again, for failing to turn up from the first minute and making the fatal errors.
On the game…
“I can’t understand how we conceded two goals like that, two very naive errors, we’ll have to work hard to finish the season well…”
Jovic scored again…
“We need to start playing football from the first minute, not just with comebacks. It’s not the first time we’ve conceded in the first half, it’s an aspect we need to work on, we know that.”
On Milan’s targets…
“Now we need to regroup, I repeat that we cannot have the wrong approach to the match like this. We also have the Coppa Italia, we will be the masters of our own destiny,” he concluded.
The Dutchman didn’t have the best of games himself, missing a good chance and failing to take advantage of set-pieces, so he will surely be looking to do better against Udinese on Friday next week.
