Reims a shock contender to sign Lille target Youssoufa Moukoko | OneFootball

German international Youssoufa Moukoko (19) has attracted plenty of interest from France this summer. Whilst Olympique de Marseille, frustrated by their negotiations with Borussia Dortmund, may have since turned to different targets, there are still two Ligue 1 sides in the race. According to a report from Le Parisien, one of those sides is Stade de Reims.

Reims secured a top-half finish under Will Still last season. Luka Elsner has since taken the helm at the Champagne side as they look to continue their push up the table and perhaps towards the European places. It has been a quiet transfer window at Reims thus far, however, they are now preparing a shock bid for Moukoko.

In recent days, talks between Reims and Moukoko’s representatives have accelerated and an agreement is even close to being reached. However, they aren’t the only side in the race. The forward, who will be allowed to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, has many offers on the table, with Ligue 1 rivals Lille OSC also in the race.
