Stade Rennais have submitted a bid to FC Nantes to sign mercurial forward Ludovic Blas (25), according to a report from L’Équipe.
The Bretons want to act fast in order to land their signings before the start of their training camp on July 7th. Le Rouge et Noir are also reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Lorient over the transfer of sought-after playmaker Enzo Le Fée (23).
Now, Rennes Sporting director Florian Maurice has labelled Blas a priority signing. The versatile forward would be a possible replacement for Jérémy Doku (21) on Rennes’ attacking right side, should the Belgian winger leave. A versatile forward with a keen eye for goal, Blas can also play as a playmaker or as a deep-lying forward. The former Guingamp player is tied to Nantes until 2024, but the 25-year-old is all but certain to leave Les Canaris during this transfer window.
The French publication indicates that La Liga clubs have also submitted bids for Blas, who is reportedly enticed by the prospect of playing for Rennes. The Brittany-based club have qualified for the Europa League group stage courtesy of their fourth-place finish in Ligue 1. Rennes have allegedly submitted a €10m bid to Nantes for Blas.
